Naya Rivera is ready for her time in the spotlight as she strikes a sexy pose on the flip cover of Rolling Stone magazine. The 26-year old actress’ rise began on the popular Fox series Glee, where she plays lesbian cheerleader Santana Lopez. But with the musical drama filming its final season, Rivera is ready to move to the next phase of her career as a musician.
“It took a long time to figure out where I wanted to go musically,” she told Rolling Stone. With the kinks worked out, the newly engaged entertainer called on her fiance, rapper Big Sean, to jump on her first single Sorry Not Sorry this past summer. Rivera recalled that while her album is not completed, she was eager to push her label Columbia Records to release the single early.
“Get on or get off. I think this is a summer song, and I want it on the radio by the end of the summer,” she told them.
The Rolling Stone Latin Hot List issue includes other Latin stars like singer Draco Rosa, Gravity’s Jonás Cuarón, pop princess Becky G, novelist Daniel Alarcón, and many others.
Rivera tweeted a special thanks after the cover was released,
“A big thanks to @RollingStone for showing me so much love! Such an honor to be featured! My @RollingStone feature hits newsstands November 8th! Can’t wait for you guys to see it — don’t forget to pick up a copy!”
