Will Smith has been keeping a low profile in the movie world, but that has changed with news that the star will lead 20th Century Fox’s supernatural thriller, “Selling Time.”
Smith’s character name is unknown, but the story follows a man who is offered the chance to relive the worst day he has ever had. However, in exchange, he has to give up seven years of his life. Several A-list directors are currently circling the project, although no one has signed on yet.
“Selling Time,” originally scripted by Dan McDermott, went through the hands of Spike Lee, Steven Martini and Derick Martini. The final rewrites are going to be done by McDermott.
John Davis and Jennifer Klein are producing “Selling Time” through Davis Entertainment.
Smith was last seen in M. Night Shyamalan’s “After Earth” where he starred opposite his son. He’ll soon star opposite Margot Robbie in Glenn Ficarra and John Requa’s grifter tale, “Focus.“
