Timbaland has been on a tear recently, giving live audiences previews of unreleased tracks from top artists. A few weeks ago, Timbo gave fans a listen to unreleased Jay Z and Drake records. Now he’s at it again with more Hov this time featuring Meek Mill on a track called “Bounce.” According to miss info.tv:
“Timbaland’s been treating Europe to plenty of new material lately. After previewing a Jay Z/Drake track he has in the stash on both the Birmingham and Paris legs of the Magna Carta World Tour, the super producer played another never-before-heard Hov track at an after-party in Belgium. The song, which appears to feature Meek Mill (jump to the 1:45 mark), is tentatively titled ‘Bounce,’ and it sounds like it lives up to that title.”
Currently it is widely presumed this new music will be on Timbaland’s upcoming album. There is still no official date on when that album will be released, and Timbo has been changing his mind on the title of the album. As reported by hiphopwired.com:
“Timbaland can’t seem to make up his mind when it comes to the title of his upcoming album. We first heard that we’re going to get ‘Shock Value 3,’ then last Spring Timbo started calling the album ‘Rebirth.’ Now fast forward to last night, and Timbaland has revealed yet another name for his upcoming album. While performing in front of a packed house in Belgium for the Magna Carta tour, Timbaland announced that the title of his upcoming album will be ‘Textbook Timbo.'”
Whatever Timbaland actually decides to call the album, with the heavy hitter tracks that he’s been previewing, it seems like it will be a hit.
