Ravens Trade Bryant McKinnie to Miami Dolphins

Ravens trade Bryant McKinnie to Miami DolphinsFormer Ravens left tackle Bryant McKinnie was benched due to bad performance and now has been officially traded to the Miami Dolphins.

According to the Baltimore Sun,The Ravens traded the demoted veteran left tackle to the Miami Dolphins today, a move that seemed inevitable after the acquisition of Eugene Monroe from the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this month.”

The 34-year-old was in the starting lineup for the Ravens during last year’s playoff run and played well. However, he came to training camp overweight and struggled.

After McKinnie started the first five games of the season he was benched, but still hoped to be traded to the needy Dolphins for more action. The Dolphins are in desperate need of help with a offensive line that has allowed 26 sacks in seven games.

Michael George, McKinnie’s agent, says his client is happy about the move.

“It is a good opportunity for him,” George said. “This should be a positive change for Bryant and he’s very excited.”
