CeeLo Green Not Likely to be Prosecuted For Date Rape Allegations

Cee Lo Green may not be prosecuted for date rape allegations The time has come for CeeLo Green to possibly face judgment for date rape allegations he was faced with last year, however, legal experts are doubtful that the Los Angeles Police Department will provide enough evidence to move the case forward.

It’s been over a year since “The Voice” judge was accused of spiking a woman’s drink and raping her in downtown LA and in a few days the LAPD will be presenting the case to the LA County District Attorney’s Office to see if they have finally gained enough evidence to prosecute Green.

The first time the LAPD attempted to prosecute the soulful crooner, the D. was unimpressed with the evidence and ordered the police to investigate the case further. After more than five months, the LAPD is ready to bring the case back to the prosecutors, who are reportedly waiting for two key pieces of evidence.

According to TMZ, the DA wanted the police to find more evidence about which drugs were found in the woman’s system, if any at all.

They also wanted more witness accounts about what happened, but so far the witness statements don’t seem to have drastically changed from a few months ago.

Sources who are close the singer say the woman is lying and CeeLo would never do such a thing.

For now, the most telling  evidence will be whether or not traces of date-rape drugs were in the woman’s system that night. Law enforcement officials explained the drug tests caused the delay in the re-investigation.

With several labs needed to perform the tests and it took quite some time for  the results to come back, although what those results were exactly have not been released to the public.

One law enforcement told TMZ that they strongly doubted the DA will have grounds to prosecute the “Forget You” singer based on what the second investigation turned up.
