Cincinnati QB Munchie Legaux Suffers Season-Ending Injury

Cincinnati’s quarterback Munchie Legaux was seriously injured during a game against Illinois and was immediately hospitalized.

Legaux, who is in his final year, was attempting a pass, when two Illinois defenders hit him and bent his knee in an unnatural way.

At the time of the injury,  Illinois was ahead 31-17.  Before the injury Legaux had completed 17-of-31 attempts for 237 yards and a touchdown, adding another 52 yards on the ground.

Following the injury Munchie can be seen being carted off the field into a waiting ambulance. Following Illinois’ 45-17 win, Cincinnati head coach Tommy Tuberville visited the the hospital and took to Twitter to describe Legaux as an “extremely tough man” and requested a prayer for the injured player:

“Just visited w/Munchie at the hospital. Still undergoing evaluation. Extremely tough young man. Say a prayer for him. #Bearcats
