Tyler Perry sold out for Jesus and reminds us of that throughout his work. The power film director and actor often creates shows based on Christian family values.
Perry credits his faith with helping through his tough childhood when he was sexually abused. And as far as selling out Jesus, he’s no Judas. He says: “I am a Christian, I am a believer, and I know had I not been a person of faith, I couldn’t be here in this place, and I wouldn’t be walking the path that I’m on now.” Adding, “If you don’t want my God here, you don’t want me here either. God has been too good to me to go and try to sell out to get some money.”
Steve Harvey is an unapologetically devout Christian. Steve is so committed to Jesus that he dislikes atheists and thinks they’re all idiots.
Harvey says, “God has given me a life far beyond anything I ever dreamed about. God is, man, God is something else, man.”
Based on that, he can’t associate with atheists saying: “You are sitting up there talking to a dude and he tells you he’s an atheist, you need to pack it up and go home. You talking to a person who don’t believe in God … what’s his moral barometer? Where’s it at? It’s nowhere.”
