A trailer for the D.C. sniper movie, titled “Blue Caprice,” has made its way online, courtesy of iTunes.
Directed by Alexandre Moore with a screenplay by R.F.I. Porto, Blue Caprice stars Isaiah Washington as John Allen Muhammad and “Everybody Hates Chris” star Tequan Richmond as Lee Boyd Malvo, also known as John Lee Malvo.
The film, which was acquired by Sundance Selects after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, is a haunting psychological thriller that was inspired by the real life Beltway sniper attacks that left 10 people dead in the Washington, D.C., area.
Because of IsaiahWashington’s reputation as a prickly personality, he appears to have been a great choice to lead Blue Caprice, and the trailer confirms that he pulled off the psychopathic killer role exceptionally well. Joey Lauren Adams, Tim Blake Nelson and Leo Fitzpatrick also co-star in the movie which is set for a Sept. 13 release.
