Actor Matt Damon who is on the promotional trail for his action-packed science-fiction film “Elysium” sat down with BET.com to talk politics.
Damon, who has been a longtime supporter of President Obama, shared his disappointment on the president’s second term.
“He broke up with me. There are a lot of things that I really question,” he said. “The legality of the drone strikes, these NSA revelations. Jimmy Carter came out and said we don’t live in a democracy. That’s a little intense, when an ex-president says that. He’s got some explaining to do, particularly for a constitutional law professor.”
The “Bourne Identity” actor also shared his thoughts on the “Stand Your Ground” law. “I hope they revisit that,” he said.
