Titans Chris Johnson Scores Impressive Touchdown But Loses 21-22 to Redskins

Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson burst through the defense to a 58-yard touchdown in the  preseason game against the Washington Redskins on Thursday night, but it wasn’t enough as the Redskins defeated the Titans by one after a two-point conversion.

Johnson took a handoff and moved left, with only one Redskin between him and the end zone, he quickly changed direction and surged right for the touchdown.

The Titans didn’t hesitate to show off their new and improved run game with 92 yards rushing and a 14-7 lead after the first quarter.

The Redskins sat a total of eight starters, including quarterback Robert Griffin III, who was dressed and on the field. Cousins was in place for Griffin and looked good, completing 6 of 7 passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.

More than half the starters were sitting, yet the Redskins quarterback Pat White manage to score on a 9-yard TD run with 2:23 left and then find Emmanuel Ogbuehi for the two-point conversion to avoid overtime and win the game.
