Marcus Camby Signs With Houston Rockets

Marcus Camby has signed to the Houston Rockets.

This will be the second time the veteran free-agent center will play for Houston. He played for the team in 2012. Camby played 19 games for the Rockets that season and averaged 7.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.53 blocks.

The 6-foot-11 player left Houston for the New York Knicks in a sign-and-trade in July 2012 and appeared in 24 games for the Knicks last season.

“The Rockets are definitely trying to make some sort of huge trade,” said a source briefed on Houston’s plans. “That’s why they’re trading all these things to get a bunch of picks. That’s what they’re up to.”

Cmby joins a team that has two centers already in Dwight Howard and Omer Asik.

Camby was the second overall pick by the Toronto Raptors in 1996.
