On Wednesday the former Miami Heat player confirmed to The Associated Press that he and the Grizzlies have come to an agreement. According to ESPN.com, Miller is set to sign a two-year contract with the Grizzlies after being scouted by multiple teams, including the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder.
Kevin Durant was reportedly part of Oklahoma City’s recruitment team, but Miller decided to play with Memphis for a second go-around. Mike ‘Killer’ Miller played for the Grizzlies in 2002 and 2007, and maintains a home in the city.
A few weeks back, Miller was waived by the Miami Heat via its amnesty provision. Last year, while playing with the Heat, Miller appeared in 59 games and averaged 4.8 points.
The Grizzlies have not formally announced the deal with Miller. More details to come.
