Pay Your Bills: Lights Shut Off During Summer League Jazz Blowout Game

It’s true to say that NBA Summer League games aren’t on the same level of typical NBA contests. Games are played in small gyms and teams wear practice jerseys. In many ways, Summer League is a place to hang out and work on honing skills for the upcoming season.

However, there are still some basic expectations for these games. Like that the lights won’t cut off during play. Yet that exactly what happened in the final minutes of Wednesday’s Orlando Summer League game between the Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets.

The lights at the Amway Center’s gym shut down as the Jazz was about to finish a blowout win. The game continued by the light from opened windows.
