Drew Sidora, KeKe Palmer, and Lil Mama have given TLC fans hope for a spectacular performance in the upcoming TLC biopic “Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story.”
When VH1 released the first official promo pic for the TLC flick we weren’t sure if they hired actors or found some miraculous time machine and brought back the real TLC from back in the day.
As it turns out, the photo is indeed three young starlets taking on an amazing role as trying to bring the TLC spirit back to life in front of the camera.
KeKe Palmer is taking on the role of Chili, Drew Sidora is playing T-Boz, while Lil Mama is responsible for what is sure to be an emotionally packed performance to bring Left Eye back to life.
The promo pic has the young stars dressed up in their best 90s gear and even has Lil Mama sporting a condom which TLC was famous for doing in order to promote safe sex.
Of course, it isn’t enough just to look the part in order to bring such a powerful group back to life on screen.
Fortunately, it seems like the ladies have that aspect down pact as well.
Lil Mama, KeKe, and Drew have already filmed their re-enactment of TLC’s first video “Ain’t 2 Proud 2 Beg” and I must say things are looking quite impressive so far.
Screen shots of the trio show them not only looking like their counterparts, but also evoking the same type of emotion that we would expect from each of the original members. Bringing that type of emotion forward in a photo is a difficult task so we can only imagine how well the ladies did on video.
I must admit that at one point I was a bit skeptic about KeKe and Lil Mama being cast for these major roles, but so far they certainly have me eating my words and going back for dessert.
Sidora was also pictured doing an amazing job by delivering a genuine performance, but we already had high expectations for her on screen delivery.
The made for TV film was shot in Atlanta recently and will retell the story of TLC’s road to fame and the many challenges they faced along the way.
While the movie is sure to be entertaining, it seems like it will also be right on track to be a rather inspirational film as well.
And in case you were still concerned about the authenticity of the film, the two surviving members of TLC, T-Boz and Chili, have served as consultants for the film throughout the entire process so if they’re buying it we’re pretty sure everyone else will too.
