'Mad Men' Season 6: “The Doorway Part 1 & 2"

On tonight’s season 6 premiere of AMC’s Mad Men, Don spearheads a new campaign, Roger gets some unsettling news, and Betty takes in a houseguest.

Mad Men is a TV drama about one of New York’s most prestigious ad agencies at the beginning of the 1960s, focusing on one of the firm’s most mysterious but extremely talented ad executives, Donald Draper.

The series was set initially at the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency on Madison Avenue in New York City, and later at the newly created firm Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. According to the show’s pilot, the phrase Mad Men was a slang term coined in the 1950s by advertisers working on Madison Avenue to refer to themselves, the term being a portmanteau of the expression “ad men” (short for “advertising men”) and the metonymic expression for the advertising industry, “Madison Avenue.” The focal point of the series is Don Draper (Jon Hamm), creative director at Sterling Cooper and a founding partner at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, and the people in his life, both in and out of the office.

Mad Men season premiere “The Phantom” Season 6 episode 1 & 2 airs on Sunday, April 7 at 9/8c on AMC. Spoiler pictures below:
