Vin Diesel is back in a twenty-two second Riddick teaser to remind fans the sci-fi adventure is still on. Once again the star plays the anti-hero in the third installment of the franchise and he unleashed a quick clip on his Facebook page to promote the film.
The only human being we can make out in the video is Diesel’s ‘Riddick,’ who’s seen engaging some pretty nasty and exotic beast while we hear him in his typical bad ass spiel. He’s even heard echoing the very familiar line from Pitch Black (2000), “You’re not afraid of the dark, are you?”
In the upcoming film Riddick is left for dead on a desolate and dangerous planet, but of course he survives, and is now prepared to wreak havoc on those who deserted him.
David Twohy wrote and directed Riddick as he did the previous 2004 version, The Chronicles of Riddick,” and first in the series, Pitch Black. Aside from Vin Diesel, the film stars Karl Urban, Jordi Mollà, Katee Sackhoff , Nolan Gerard Funk, Dave Batista, and Keri Hilson.
Riddick debuts in U.S. theaters September 6.
