J. Lo and Chris Brown Team Up, Christina Aguilera Debuts Weight Loss

J. Lo has called on the aid of Chris Brown to make sure she gets some chart topping hits on her new album. Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera showed off her new slender physique at “The Voice” premiere.

Jennifer Lopez has been doing pretty well when it comes to picking out some great musical collaborations.

The “Goin In” songstress put Flo Rida on her new single to get a sound that some people didn’t expect from the Latina beauty.

Well it seems like she is going to top that with a Chris Brown collab.

Let’s be honest, Breezy may not be the best role model and we certainly can’t stand him as a person but he does know how to make a hit.

Rumors of the collab sparked after J.Lo shared a picture of her in the studio with Brown and mega producer Cory Rooney.

“@chrisbrown @CORYROONEY @BEAUcasperSMART @missgillygrace #studiolife #makinghistory #Album10 #SAMEGIRL,” she put in a caption under the photo.

Rihanna’s boyfriend must have done some great work in the studio because he put quite a bright smile on Lopez’s face.

The 43-year-old singer leaned her head against Brown and she smiled brightly in a pink sweater.

Brown has been known to make some strange faces in many of his pictures, but the 23-year-old actually was smiling as well and looked like a normal young man again – but it takes more than a quick photo to convince us that he isn’t still on a downward spiral.

While J. Lo and Brown are ready to show off some new music, Christina Aguilera was ready to show off a new slender figure while she supported the new judges on “The Voice.”

During the last season of NBC’s hottest show, fans couldn’t stop bring up Christina’s weight gain. Well instead of lashing out, Aguilera simply trimmed down.

She kept all over her fabulous curves but it’s obvious that she spent some major time in the gym as well.

In addition to the new body, she even flaunted some new makeup. We’re used to the 32-year-old powerhouse crooner wearing bright heavy make up, but for the premiere she opted for a natural palette that looked simply amazing.

Her blonde locks cascaded down her back as she posed in a short black belted dress and some super high black heels.

While she and Cee Lo Green are sitting his season out to focus on their careers, the fabulous mommy still wanted to show some big support for her former co-judges and the new judges – Usher and Shakira.

As for when she will be back in that swiveling chair? We don’t know and apparently neither does she.

“I can’t say anything right now,” she said. “I can only do what feels right for me in the moment and right now what’s important for me, and this is why I love the show, and why I’m coming back in support.”

She wasn’t just offering support as a judge either. The “Your Body” crooner offered some motherly support as well for new mommy Shakira.

“Everybody figures it out at their own pace,” she said about motherhood. “You know, it’s a juggling act, it’s a balancing act to take on your responsibility in front of the camera, and then be Mommy behind.”

“The Voice” will return to NBC on Monday (March 25).

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
