CBS’ Beverly Hills Cop is now in full production and writer/executive producer Shawn Ryan took to twitter to send the world a photo of Eddie Murphy and Brandon T. Jackson posing on set.
This marks Murphy’s return back to TV since his stretch on Saturday Night Live back in 1980 to 1984. This will be Brandon’s first contract TV role, but has proven his skills in films such as, Tropical Thunder and Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son. Murphy will be reprising his role, as Axel Foley and Jackson will play his pupil Aaron Foley who desperately want to make a name for himself as a detective.
Beverly Hills Cop the series will be a continuation of all the Beverly Hills Cop films that spanned the years of 1984 to 1994.
looking at the picture, they could be father and son.
Is this show going to make it past season 1? Thoughts?
I can’t see this lasting more then a few episodes. In 2-3 doses, Eddie is funny, but unless his “son” brings his own brand of humor and style, the prospects are not good.
Is this going to be a multi episode arc? If not, then it is destined to fail. Seeing every week a “new story or challenge” will get old fast.
