Tina Turner Defies Time on Vogue, Jill Scott’s Big CBS Role

Tina Turner made her magazine cover debut on Vogue Germany and made it clear that she is still “simply the best” after all these years.

Tina Turner is 73-years-old but you would have never guessed it by looking at the cover of Vogue Germany’s April 2013 issue. The soulful songstress’s beauty has stood the test of time and her blonde-highlights look as fabulous as ever.

She posed with her hands on her hips in a chic navy blue blouse and what looks like a fitted black skirt.

Claudia Knoepfel had the honor of shooting the age defying music icon and Nicola Knels did a terrific job styling her.

While it hasn’t been written in stone, fashion experts are claiming that Mrs. Turner is the oldest star to snag the cover of Vogue after Meryl Streep who had posed for the cover when she was 62.

The caption for the cover couldn’t have been any more fitting. The words “Simply the Best” were printed across the cover just in case there was some weirdo who had been hiding in a cave for decades and wasn’t aware that Mrs. Turner is indeed the Queen of Rock N Roll.

Jill Scott’s Acting Career Takes Off With CBS Pilot

Jill Scott is no stranger to the world of acting, and she’s getting ready to make her way to the small screens for a new CBS pilot.

Is there anything Jill Scott can’t do?

She has a beautiful soulful voice that takes you to another world. She writes poetry that truly touches your spirit. She’s even one of our favorite famous mommies.

In the midst of all the craziness of going on tour, writing new music, being a mother, and starring in “No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency,” Jill is about to make a big appearance on CBS to star in the network’s latest big pilot.

“Second Sight” is based on a UK series and will have the beautiful songstress starring along side Derek Luke, Jason Lee, and some other major names in Hollywood.

This isn’t her first gig with Luke either. She will also be acting along side Luke in the romantic comedy “Baggage Claim.”

While not much information has been released about the pilot, we’re just excited to have the chance to see Scott’s acting skills make it to a TV series.
