Home Depot is preparing to fill 80,000 positions for the busy spring season.
The Atlanta-based home improvement giant said Wednesday it plans to hire 10,000 more workers than in 2012.
Home Depot also launched an online program where a specific military Skills Translator offers a new tool designed to help translate and match an applicant’s unique military skills with the positions that offer the best fit. In addition, Home Depot will be working with military-focused career fairs and participate in events in 2013. Cartersville is kicking off a job fair for veteran’s which will be hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion Carl Boyd Post #42, at 1 Roosevelt St., in Cartersville. The fair will be held February 7th from 9 a.m. to noon and is exclusive to military veterans, active-duty service members, National Guardsman, Reserve Forces and military spouses.
