NBC's 'Dracula' Casts Two New Stars

 

Katie McGarth (Merlin) and Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones) has been selected to get close and personal with the infamous vampire on NBC’s Dracula.

The two have been casted as season regulars for the NBC drama series about the famous vampire, portrayed by Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

McGrath’s character Lucy Westenra, is the sexy Aristocratic London social butterfly, who has the tendency to gossip, flirt, and loves all things glamorous. She is also the best friend of Mina (Jessica De Gouw), Dracula’s love interest. Lucy will also be indulged in a web of lies, lust, and temptations that challenges her boundaries of their relationship.  McGarth is known for playing Morgana on Merlin. 

Anozie went from playing  merchant Xaro Xhoan Daxos on Thrones to Dracula character R.M. Renfield. Renfield is the loyal confidante of Dracula’s alter ego, Alan Grayson. He holds Dracula’s darkest secrets and the stabilizing force that allows both personas to coexist successfully.

The show is based on Bram Stoker’s novel that finds Dracula seeking revenge on the Victorian community responsible for destorying his life.  Everything falls apart when he falls in love with a woman who he believes is a reincarnation of her beloved wife.
