Recently, she has been landing many controversial interviews for her Oprah’s Next Chapter show. From disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong to the domestic abused singer Rihanna, many have turned to Oprah to spill the beans about their stories.
The next intense interview Oprah will have on Oprah’s Next Chapter will be with Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston. Since the death of her daughter, Cissy Houston never opened up about her interpersonal feelings about the passing. A clip from Oprah’s Next Chapter, promoting the interview, promising just that, a very open interview about the death of Whitney Houston. Last year, Winfrey interviewed Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina and other members of her family, but never sat down with Cissy. That show, which was just weeks after the singer’s death, is the biggest ratings show ever on OWN.
