Rosario Dawson Busy with ‘Queen of the Night’, ‘Sin City’ Sequel, ‘Trance’

Rosario Dawson will play a detective in Atom Egoyan’s newest thriller, Queen of the Night. The film stars Ryan Reynolds as a desperate father whose daughter is abducted without a trace. Eight years later new clues surface, and the father is convinced his daughter is still alive. He insists on reopening the otherwise cold case. Dawson will play a detective assigned to helping find the child and unravel the mystery before it goes cold again.

The Wrap.com confirms Dawson’s involvement in the new movie. Mireille Enos (The Killing), and Scott Speedman (Last Resort) are also slated to appear in the film, though their roles are not yet specified.

Dawson adds her latest role to an already jam-packed schedule. She’s currently wrapping up filming for the action-thriller Trance, with James McAvoy, due out later this year. She’s also busy reprising her role as Gail in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, a follow up to the wildly popular 2005 Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller flick, Sin City. Dawson recently finished filming Parts Per Billion alongside Josh Hartnett, Penn Badgley and Frank Langella, and Diego Luna’s biopic Chavez, which also stars Michael Peña.

Somehow Dawson is going to make it all work, Queen of the Night is set to begin filming this February.
