According to TVLine, Sarah Michelle Gellar, former Buffy star will return to television next fall for a role in a new comedy series created by 20th Century Fox.
The current untitled series, will chronicles the hijinks of what parents do while their kids are not at home, Gellar is set to play the wife/mother.
Gellar attempted a previous TV comeback last year with The CW’s, Ringer ( now cancelled), she became interested in the project after reading the Shepard Boucher-penned spec script; whose staff were writers on the TBS comedy Men at Work.
The project will be shopped to the major networks in the coming weeks.
David Hemingson (How I Met Your Mother) and Margaret Riley (Love and Other Drugs) are attached as exec producers.
Gellar is famously known for her roles as Buffy in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Helen Shivers in I Know what you did Last Summer and her role as Daphne Blake in the live action movie Scooby-Doo. She is currently married to Freddie Prinze Jr. and they have two children together.
