Phaedra Parks, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star with some huge “assets,” is pregnant again with her second child and took to Atlantis to reveal the news with her own baby bump photo.
Phaedra and Apollo are expecting their second child very soon while their two year old son Ayden prepares to be a big brother.
The Real Housewives star was on vacation in the Bahamas with her famous friends including Toya, Rasheeda, Kandi and their significant others when she revealed the large baby bump that she managed to keep a secret from the prying eyes of the paparazzi for quite some time.
The lawyer turned funeral service entrepreneur posed in a sheer black one piece bathing suit as she gently cradled her very pregnant stomach.
In many of the other vacation photos, the soon to be mommy of two was strategically keeping her tummy out of view waiting for just the right time to reveal the news about baby number two on the way.
Unfortunately, just as Phaedra prepared to celebrate the life of a new child she had to say goodbye to two loved ones.
Both her and husband Apollo’s maternal grandmothers passed away and the reality star took to her blog to talk to her fans about the tragic loss.
“Many of you have been wondering where I’ve been and why I have not blogged lately,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star wrote. “Well unfortunately, both Apollo and I recently lost our maternal grandmothers. In early November my grandmother became ill and I chose to direct all of my energy and focused on caring for her and supporting my mother.”
Even with Phaedra’s undivided attention and care, however, her grandmother passed away on November 25.
The grief only grew when news of Apollo’s grandmother passing away reached the couple just a matter of days later.
“As we were returning home from my grandmother’s obsequies, we learned that Apollo’s grandmother passed away,” she added. “So, we have been very busy caring for our families and managing the tender moments of loss and grief.”
The couple will have a new life on the way to try to raise their spirits, and lucky for them it seems like they had the perfect group of friends to put a smile on their faces as well.
In the midst of the tragic news, their friends still managed to get the grief stricken couple to have fun during their Atlantis vacation.
The group of reality stars all gathered around the famous golden throne in the Atlantis luxury resort for a group photo that Phaedra later tweeted with the caption “Sending holiday cheer from the beach w/ my peeps @kandi @RASHEEDA @MeMphitZ @todd167 & my baby @apollonida03.”
We wish Phaedra and Apollo the best as they cope with their losses and also send them many congratulations on their new addition to the family.
