Kate Winslet Wedding: Leonardo DiCaprio, the Kids & Few Friends Attend

Kate Winslet managed to keep her wedding to Sir Richard Bronson’s nephew Ned RocknRoll a secret from many people. Reports state the parents of the actress and her husband were unaware a wedding was taking place.

Ned’s father allegedly told the Sun newspaper, ‘It’s not something I know of – but nothing would surprise me with those two.’

According to the UK Daily Mail,

Kate Winslet has married for the third time in a secret ceremony, to fiancé Ned RocknRoll – the nephew of Sir Richard Branson – in New York.

The 37-year-old actress was given away by her Titanic co-star Leonardo DiCaprio at an intimate service in the Big Apple.

The actress’s spokesman told MailOnline: ‘I can confirm that Kate Winslet married Ned Rock’nRoll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family.

‘The couple had been engaged since the summer.’

The service is said to have been so private that even Kate’s parents weren’t even aware she was walking down the aisle again.

Kate Winslet’s last weeding to Skyfall director Sam Mendes was also a secret when the duo wed on an island with her daughter Mia. Mendes and Winslet share a son, Joe.

Kate and Ned met under curious terms. The man formerly known was Ned Abel Smith found it best to properly change his last name to Ned RocknRoll. The duo met on Richard Branson’s Necker Island where Kate was vacationing with her then model boyfriend Louis Dowler. A connection may have been made after Winslett rescued Branson’s mother Eve from a fire. Not surprisingly, Kate’s ex-boyfriend accused her of bad behavior.

‘I don’t think Kate behaved well and it is still very raw for me. I was in love with her and you can’t switch that off overnight. I’m not sure Kate treated me well.’

Nonetheless, prior to the wedding Kate gushed about her new relationship. The Titantic address told Harper’s Bazaar,

‘I feel that I’m just at the beginning of a new narrative, and it’s incredibly exciting.’

Here’s to hoping the third time’s the charm.
