British actor Tom Hiddleston, who portrayed Thor villian Loki, has revealed that he is not sure if he will be returning to play the character in The Avengers sequel.
“I don’t know, and that is really the honest answer. I know I’ve been known for obfuscation in other quarters, but I have no idea,” he said. ” I haven’t spoken to Joss. He’s definitely doing it. So I suspect not, only because I think that probably the audiences are tired of Loki being the bad guy.Maybe the Avengers need someone else to fight. But I’d love to be part of it again.”
The Avengers sequel without Loki? One has to wonder who would be the lead villian if that’s the case? Well, if Hiddleston’s character doesn’t make an appearance in The Avengers sequel, one can bet that he will surely have a starring role in Thor: The Dark World, the once again battle his brother until one falls to earth.
The other orginial cast members also have not confirmed for The Avengers sequel as of yet, but the film is expected to hit theaters May 2015.
