Jackie Chan has joined the list of old action heros who will be starring in the upcoming film The Expendables 3. After announcing that CZ12 would be his last action movie, the Hong Kong superstar seemed to have a change of heart. Or, maybe it was the charm of old Sylvester Stallone that persuaded him to go back on his word? Whatever it answer, Chan will indeed join the butt kicking in Sly’s The Expendables 3.
While at a press conference for the film CZ12, Chan explained that, “Sly had invited me to be in ‘Expendables 2’ but I was too busy filming ‘CZ12’ and couldn’t make a commitment to the film. “But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes.”
Chan also mentioned that he had asked the Rocky star if The Expendables 3 could take on a more along the lines of a ‘buddy-buddy’ movie, so that he could star. Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Nicolas Cage are all the names who producer Avi Learner are trying to convince to star in The Expendables 3. With that being said, how could Chan expect the movie to be a buddy-buddy picture with all the talent?
The Expendables 3 hits theaters in 2014.
