It’s official! The bizarre, yet always entertaining radio host Howard Stern, will be returning for a second season of America’s Got Talent.
Stern announced on his SiriusXM show on Monday that, “America’s most eclectic talents again will rise and fall.” He is the only one to confirm his spot so far on the three judge panel on NBC’s summer talent competition. After some very public beef with NBC, Sharon Osbourne has already stated that she’s done and fellow judge Howie Mandel has yet to confirm his return.
Stern, best know for his sharp wit and equally sharp tongue, expressed his opinion about the possible judge that will join the show, “If I don’t like the new judge, I’ll hit the ‘X’ [buzzer] on the judge while they’re talking,” Stern told listeners, according to Newsday. “I’ll be like, ‘Shut up, no one wants to hear from you.’ Believe me, if I was the only judge, I think the show would be terrific. You don’t need the other judges, but all right. I gotta to learn to play with others.”
America’s Got Talent didn’t end in a high note, by the end of the season, the show’s ratings drop down 16% from it’s season debut. Many blamed it on Stern’s too nice performance. Let’s hope NBC put some slack on the lease so Stern can be Stern.
