Evelyn Lozada, along with other cast members of Basketball Wives, has threatened to walk out on the reality show if they don’t receive a raise. In the meantime she is praying that taping goes well – that is unless her demands for higher pay aren’t met.
Basketball Wives’ Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Tami Roman, and Suzie Ketcham are currently filming for the new season of basketball wives but that might easily change for these cast members.
None of the mentioned Basketball Wives have locked contracts and yet they are demanding even more money from the reality show.
TMZ reported that when the ladies were in negotiations for their contracts for the new season, they all demanded higher pay but the shows executives weren’t hearing it.
In fact, producers hit the ladies with a rather intimidating fact: if they won’t do the show, somebody else will.
The Basketball Wives are still pushing for the pay increase and are still hoping that their threat to walk out on the show will be enough to get more money in their pockets. According to TMZ, however, producers are refusing to pay any of the cast members more money and will let them walk if they decide to do so.
Despite the conflict over the contracts, all members still took to Miami to start taping for the new season and a few of the ladies had to make sure they said their prayers before they departed.
Two of the most infamous drama queens on the show Evelyn Lozada and Tami Roman are calling upon the Lord to fix their embarrassing behavior and redeem themselves after the world saw the way they acted during the last season – where Lozada climbed over a desk to attack another cast member like some sort of chimpanzee in a dress.
“The time has finally arrived tweeps! I’m heading to film BBW5 Miami!! ***Let us pray***,” Lozada tweeted before taking off to start taping in Miami.
Tami then tweeted her own prayer, “So TODAY is my first day of taping… Peace be still and bridle my tongue Lord… hope this prayer works LOL.”
Contrary to what rumors are saying about the ladies walking out, it seems all of their tweets after the first day of taping are suggesting other wise.
Lozada especially didn’t seem like she would be walking out any time soon after she tweeted, “Filming now show airs in March I believe”
When one of her followers asked her how the first day of taping when she even replied with a hopeful, “Emotional and fun at the same time.”
Even Tami Roman seemed to be having a great time on set, suggesting that the walk off threat may not hold true.
“Really enjoyed seeing the ladies tonight,” she tweeted about her cast mates.
Reports suggest that the ladies are giving producers a week to make a deal that would pay them more money, but after a week passes the show will have to find replacements – or so they say.
If they’re already having this much fun with their “friends” from last season it doesn’t seem like they’re going to be in a rush to walk out of what is the biggest business venture for most of the ladies on the show.
