Nicki Minaj hinted at launching her own record label to her nearly 15 million Twitter followers. The self proclaimed Barbie rapper shared her trouble with pinning down a name for the label without leaving her future male signees out in the cold.
Minaj is currently under Lil Wayne’s Cash Money label – the duo just released “High School” off Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up album. Check it out below.
On Twitter the “Super Bass” rapper stated, “Not calln (calling) it pink Friday records anymore barbz (fans). Not fair 2 (sic) the dudes. I’ll issue a press release w/ (with) the official name very soon.”
No official date on the press release though we’re sure it will be an event, much like the commercial for her debut fragrance, you guessed it, called ‘Pink Friday’.
“‘Pink Friday’ is a celebration of my life at this moment; it is a reflection of me as a creator, and an expression of me as a woman. I know my Barbz will connect with and appreciate each aspect—from the name, to the outrageous bottle design, to the vibrant colors that create their own song.”
