Tamera Mowry-Housley and husband Adam Housley have finally welcomed their first child together, a baby boy by the name of Aden John Tanner.
A full two weeks after the baby’s initial October 30 due date, Tamera was finally rushed off to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A on Monday as she went into labor.
Mowry’s baby was finally welcomed into the world, weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz. and is 21.5 inches long – no word out yet on if Tia’s twin followed through with having a completely natural birth.
“We’re so happy,” Fox News Correspondent Adam Housley exclaimed during an interview with In Touch. “He is healthy, happy, strong, beautiful, and our families are so excited to have another grandchild, cousin, and nephew.”
Even the Style Network released a statement to show how happy they were to welcome baby Aden into the world.
“Along with fans at home, we have followed their first year of marriage- from their beautiful wedding last May to this journey to bring their first child into the world,” the statement read. “Now, a wonderful, new chapter begins for Tamera and Adam.”
Lucky for Tamera, however, she has a sister who isn’t so new to the world of motherhood.
Twin sister Tia is the mother of an adorable 1-year-old boy named Cree and has already admitted that she can’t wait to help her sister adjust to motherhood.
There is one part of being a mother that the 34-year-old actress has already got figured out – sacrifice.
Even before Aden was born Adam’s wife knew she had to make sacrifices as they prepared for their first baby’s arrival.
In order to make room for Aden’s nursery, the couple had to agree to get rid of Adam’s man-cave… but he wasn’t the only one losing the room he loved. Kicking Housley out of his man-cave meant that he needed a new place to store all his golf clubs, clothes, and other belongings. The only space available was the large closet that used to be only for the new mommy.
“I hate getting ride of my clothes, but with the baby coming, I just have to suck it up,” the Tia & Tamera star admitted on one episode of her reality show.
Tamera’s husband wasn’t too fussy about giving up his space, but he did make a few jokes about his wife of 20 months.
“She’s gotten a lot better,” he jokingly stated about his then pregnant wife. “I’m able to sit on the couch now!”
Giving up the bit of space was definitely worth it, of course, especially after seeing how great the nursery turned out.
Now fans are excitedly awaiting the day little Aden makes his first debut on the twin sisters’ reality show.
