Tamar Braxton and her older sisters Toni, Towanda, Traci and Trina may be heading to a daytime talk show near you. While The Braxton sisters have met much success with two seasons under their belt and Tamar’s separate venture with her husband Vince Herbert for “Vince and Tamar”, the Braxtons may have a longer career in television that previously imagined.
According a HuffPost executive, the sisters are busy negotiating a deal for their own daytime show.
“Toni, Traci, Towanda and Trina are all in LA right now, pitching a talk show,” revealed a Los Angeles TV executive to HuffPost. “Think ‘The View’ but with a lot of sass! There will be the Braxton sisters’ version of ‘Hot Topics,’ called ‘Spill the T,’ plus plus gossip, relationships, fashion, makeover segments and celebrity guests. They have even gotten their mom to do an ‘Ask Mommy’ advice segment. A fun, fun show.”
Tamar Braxton apparently didn’t make the meeting but anything called “Spill the T” will surely include the pint sized, fast-talking singer.
Reportedly the singers have already secured an executive producer,
“They have somehow managed to secure Rob Dauber, a veteran of ‘The Rosie Show,’ ‘Oprah’ and ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ to be executive producer and make them the next daytime hit. Plus, you know they are going to have one hell of a theme song!”
If or when this news is confirmed, which quite honestly there is room for this sought of show and if anyone can pull it off it’s the Braxton sisters, they will face some stiff competition. Katie Couric is receiving rave reviews for her show, Steve Harvey also premiered this fall but next year others like Queen Latifah and Bethenny Frankel will join the list.
Do you think Tamar, Toni and the remaining Braxton family can pull it off?
