Movie star Michael Ealy took his chances staring in his own TV show entitled, Common Law, hoping for that steady paycheck television provides. However, just after one season, The USA Network has cancelled the show.
In Common Law, Ealy played one of two LAPD detectives who, despite their ability to close cases, cannot stand each other. To help keep the two together, their commanding officer orders the two detectives to see a couples therapist.
Common Law’s fate may have been sealed from the day it first air on the “death slot.” Friday nights is the worst time for new TV shows and networks usually send shows their to wither and die.
Ealy was apparently the only one blindsided by the news and took to twitter took to express his thoughts.
Miss @commonlaw_usa today. Love to the fans. For some clarity. Me and Hollywood Kole know about as much as u do! Truly sorry.
