Eva Longoria and Mark Sanchez have parted ways.
Sanchez’s rep confirmed the split on Monday. “Mark and Eva continue to be friends and are both focusing on their careers,” said the spokesperson. According to sources close to the couple, their careers and priorities were getting in the way of their union.
“Mark says he is really upset about the break-up with Eva. He is telling friends he tried everything he could to make her happy, and to make things work between them, but they live in very different worlds,” one source told the New York Post. “The problem was Mark is very focused on football, while Eva is a busy businesswoman. She lives in Los Angeles, is doing a lot of philanthropic and political work, and is developing a number of TV shows, including the NBC dating series Ready for Love.”
Despite this, another source says the breakup was smooth. “Eva and Mark split amicably and remain friends. There is no drama,” the insider told People Magazine.
The former couple had been linked to each other back in June and only confirmed their relationship last month. Nonetheless, Sanchez seems to be moving on and was spotted canoodling with a blonde at the Darby Downstairs club in New York. According to a witness, the NFL baller and his lady friend were very cozy. “She was more up on him,” an eyewitness said to the New York Daily News, “But he was into it and smiling.”
While Sanchez is cuddling in clubs, Longoria is trying to deal with some leftover baggage from another failed relationship. The actress has gotten tattoos dedicated to ex-husband Tony Parker removed from her body. According to TMZ, she started getting laser treatments back in January to have her wedding date, Parker’s initials and his jersey number removed. She was recently photographed with a red blotch on the back of her neck where Parker’s jersey number used to be located.
