The Carrie teaser trailer was finally released and it certainly leaves viewers wanting more. Carrie was adapted from a Stephen King novel of the same name. Carrie first hit the silver screen in 1976 starring Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie. Both women were nominated for Oscars after their performance, perhaps the remake will have the same luck. The 2013 version stars Chloe Grace Moretz as the bullied telekinetic high school student, Carrie, and Julianne Moore as the uber-religious and controlling mother. Read more about the remake here.
The teaser pans through the flame engulfed streets ultimately landing on the smoldering remains of her high school. The locals give their commentary on what possibly could have happened in such a ‘peaceful town’. It ends with a close up of Carrie covered in pigs blood at the height of her destructive rage.
