Jennifer Hudson and Britney Spears at Whitney’s Grammy Tribute

Britney Spears and Jennifer Hudson shared a moment backstage during We Will Always Love You: A Grammy Salute to Whitney Houston, which was filmed at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Thursday in Los Angeles. The duo posed for a picture, and Britney shared her thoughts on the ceremony via Facebook.

“Backstage at the Whitney Houston Tribute. Such a solemn occasion. Jason‘s doing his best to put a smile on my face,” she posted, along with a picture of herself and fiancé Jason Trawick. Spears was one of the night’s celebrity presenters, introducing a clip, and admitting that she earned her record deal with a performance of Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”

Hudson performed during the show, singing a medley of “I’m Every Woman,” “How Will I Know” and “I Wanna Dance With Somebody.” Usher provided his own rendition of “I Believe in You and Me,” and star Halle Berry was provided a tearful introduction to the event as well. The one hour special will premiere on CBS on November 16.
