Morris Chestnut Lands Season Long Arc Role On 'Nurse Jackie'

As of lately, Morris Chestnut has been landing role left and right. Now, the long-time actor can add another part to his Wikipedia page. Chestnut has signed on for a season long Arc on the hit series Nurse Jackie.

According to sources, “Chestnut will play Ike Prentiss, a new trauma doctor, a former Army medic who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is very good at his job but can learn a lot from Jackie (Edie Falco) about bedside care.”

Besides joining the cast of Nurse Jackie, Chestnut has recently booked several other roles. He is up for a role in Paula Patton leading and David E. Talbert’s rom-com, Baggage Claim. The Best Man star has signed on as the male lead, opposite Halle Berry, in Sony’s thriller The Hive, and he was cast in Kick-Ass 2, where he will play the guardian for the character played by Chloe Moretz. Chestnut also recently wrapped up his role in the comedy Identity Theft, which stars Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.
