Kourtney Kardashian, Kim K Weight Loss, Kanye to Blame for Weight Gain?

Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian have been fighting to shed some pounds, and although both ladies just recently started their weight loss regime it seems like they are already victorious in the battle against the bulge.

Kourtney gave birth to her daughter Penelope just a few months ago but has already been dropping the pounds quite rapidly.

When the mother of two was spotted out with her babies’ daddy in Miami she used a wide belt to show just how small her waist was already.

Penelope’s mom flaunted her weight loss in a denim dress a wide belt that cinched in around her slender midriff.

She paired the casual dress with a pair of nude Christian Louboutin heels as she pushed baby Penelope along in her stroller.

The reality star’s hair was pulled back away from her face which seemed to be one of the few indications that she did indeed gain a few pounds while carrying her newest bundle of joy.

Her quickly slimming body, however, inspired younger sister Kim K to drop some pounds as well.

Ever since the 31-year-old started dating Kanye West, fans speculated that she was quickly putting on some weight.

Mr. West’s wardrobe makeover certainly didn’t help now that most of Kim’s outfits are white, form fitting ensembles.

The middle Kardashian refused to deal with ill fitting clothes any longer, however, and has started her path to weight loss along with her older sister.

“Since I started QuickTrim again a few weeks ago, I’m down 6 lbs!!! Yay best feeling. I was getting discouraged but now I’m so motivated,” Kim K tweeted.

She also pointed out her sisters weight loss compared to her own considering the fact that Kim didn’t have any baby bulge fighting against her.

“How is it that @KourtneyKardashian & I have the same amount of weight to lose but she just had a baby! SMH help! LOL,” she added via Twitter.

Although everyone was speculating Kim’s weight gain, she just recently admitted that she did indeed pack on an extra 15-20 pounds since her new boo came into her life but she claims it’s from being so happy.

“Yes, I have gained some weight…,” the reality star posted on her blog. “…but I guess being happy and comfortable does that to you.”

Well the American socialite might be in a race against time as far as losing weight goes considering the fact that she is already talking about wedding bells again.

In a new issue of Tatler, Kanye’s boo was photographed in an extravagant wedding gown as she spilled the details about what she wants her next wedding to be like.

“… I want to do it on an island with just my friends and family and that’s it,” the Kardashian admitted, but she still defends her lavish over the top wedding she had with Humphries.

“It had always been my dream to have a big wedding, and when people said that I’d made it over the top for the show, that was just me: I am over the top,” the starlet explained.

When asked about the new love of her life, she revealed that being with Kanye has been an entirely different experience compared to her other relationships.

“He’s been there through so many different stages of my life and before I was famous, so this relationship is a different thing entirely,” the Mercy kitten lover explained. “It’s good to be aware that he definitely doesn’t want anything from me too, because he understands the business. I can’t even think about being with anyone else than the man I’m with.”

The self proclaimed “hopeless romantic” has had this spiel about her lovers before though, so it’s going to be pretty hard for her to convince the nation that Mr. West truly is different… especially since he is always bragging about his girl’s “home movie.”

Then again, Yeezy certainly is different than her past lovers in one aspect – he is the first of Kim’s boos to openly refer to his lover as a “perfect bitch.”

How sweet of you Kanye.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
