Karrueche Tran Urges Chris Brown To Move On Via Twitter

Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriends Karrueche Tran and Rihanna are dropping hints on Twitter about their respective thoughts on this love triangle.

On Thursday Brown confirmed he broke up with Tran in hopes of not breaking her heart and an apparent overwhelming desire to maintain a “friendship” with Rihanna. The news came as a surprise to no one though many are feeling sympathetic to Tran. A post on Twitter from the aspiring model read a simple “Bye Baby.”

It was later revealed that Brown’s ex-girlfriend felt betrayed after confronting him about his feelings for the pop star. Reportedly the “Yeah 3x” singer assured the Vietnamese model she was his love. As it turned out in a video released by Brown this morning, he loves them both.

“I’m a little drunk, so I’m going to be honest. You don’t all really get the real Chris Brown. I like to be honest,” begins Brown’s confession. “You share history with somebody, and then you tend to fall in love with somebody else — it’s kind of difficult.”

“Is there such thing as loving two people? I don’t know. I don’t know if it’s possible. But for me, I just feel like that,” he adds. ”I don’t want to hurt either or. It’s me. I’m not trying to be a player. My momma raised me differently,”

According to sources Tran plans to remain quiet about the breakup and keep her dirty little secrets about Brown to herself. “There are a lot of feelings there on both of their parts but she’s going to move forward and work on her and respect herself.”

Keeping the breakup civil appeared to work until the R&B bad boy’s released his video confessional. Tran responded on Twitter,

“WTF is going on? All I’m saying is.. You don’t mess with people’s genuine feelings. You just don’t!” She added, “Life moves on.. So let’s all.” Rihanna also tweeted, “Ain’t nobody bidness…But mine and my baby!”

Sadly, between Twitter and drunken videos, it’s everyone’s business now.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
