'American Horror Story: Asylum' Trailer Finally Released

FX’s American Horror Story is set for a second season – but with an entirely different plot and some some major shake ups with casting. Returning favorites include last years AHS Emmy and Golden Globe winner, Jessica Lange, Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, and Frances Conroy. Some notable new faces in the cast include Chloe Sevigny, Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine, Mark Conseulos, and Joseph Fiennes. The second season of the dark hit will take place in a 1960’s East Coast insane asylum. One of the shows creators’, Ryan Murphy,  has revealed this season will be the “Jessica Lange show” and will focus primarily on her portrayal of Sister Jude, a sadistic nun. Murphy, along with co-creator Brad Falchuk, have been teasing the new season with horrifying snippets that leave you asking questions while wanting more. The duo finally released an official trailer which sheds some light on what the new season is about.

I personally can’t wait to see what the second season has in store for us. American Horror Story was no doubt one of the best shows coming out of 2011, hopefully they can keep up that momentum for 2012. The idea of a mini-series with a new plot every season is sure to keep ideas fresh and allows a solid rotation for talented actors to get quality screen time.
