Arnold Schwarzenegger’s affair with Brigitte Nielsen is front and center again. The former Red Sonja actress first revealed the steamy affair in her autobiography released last year. Arnold however was putting his life back together after the explosive revelation that he fathered a child with his housekeeper Mildred Baena and of course a pending divorce to respond to the affair. With his divorce behind him, though Arnold hopes to reconcile with now ex-wife Maria Shriver, and his indiscretions forgotten by many, the former California governor thought it was best to rehash the entire ordeal. We can’t imagine this will soften Maria for a reconciliation who’s reportedly agree at her ex for humiliating her all over again.
Arnold has been doing the rounds for his autobiography “Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.” In it, he recounts the affair with Nielsen calling it a “hot affair.” While both parties can agree they had a steamy fling, Brigitte insists she did not know Arnold was involved with Maria while he contends the affair strengthen his desire to marry his now ex-wife.
The book also details the shocking affair with his housekeeper that resulted in a teenage son Joseph and how he broke the news to a long suspecting Maria. It happened one morning at a therapy session in January 2011.
“The minute we sat down, the therapist turned to me and said, ‘Maria wanted to come here today and to ask about a child – whether you fathered a child with your housekeeper Mildred,'” the actor writes of the session. “I told the therapist, ‘It’s true.'”
