Nashville Rocked by Arrest of Daycare Principal for 25 Counts of Child Rape

The city of Nashville is being rocked by the arrest of a daycare center principal, along with a male partner, on 25 counts of child rape and child abuse.

Police on Friday arrested Demetria Leshe Robinson, 33, and Rodney Darnell Robinson. Officials weren’t sure of the relationship between the two. Apparently the abuse cases involved two foster children in their care—not the children at the daycare center, according to News Channel Five.

The two adults were arrested at the Luv for Kids Learning Academy in suburban Nashville, where they have had a daycare center registered since 2010. The center took in children from age six weeks to 12 years old and has the capacity for 15.

The crimes allegedly occurred between June 2007 and March of this year. The victims were between the ages 10 and 14.

Both of the Robinsons were indicted on one count of child abuse, six counts of aggravated sexual battery, six counts of child rape, six counts of sexual battery by an authority figure and six counts of rape.

Demetria Robinson was held on $150,000 bond at Davidson County Jail while Rodney Robinson was held on $250,000.

Because of the sensitive nature of the case, authorities didn’t release details of the crime.
