Beyonce’s baby announcement last year August at the MTV VMAs allowed millions to witness her husband Jay-Z overcome with joy – it was a beautiful moment. But there won’t be a repeat of that excitement at least not this year despite repeated rumors of Beyonce expecting baby no. 2.
The baby rumors began when the Love on Top singer was photographed on a date with her husband at the D’Usse Cognac launch party at La Marina Restaurant Bar Beach Lounge Sunday night in NYC. The photo of the singer in a skintight leopard dress could leave some to believe Beyonce was pregnant again. But one photo didn’t tell the whole story. Before additional photos showing Blue Ivy’s mom drinking cognac could surface the pregnant rumors had spread like wildfire. Anyone caught in public was then harassed for an exclusive on the pregnancy news. First the 31-year old singer’s mom Tina Knowles denied the rumors,
“It’s gonna happen when it’s time, but not right now.”
If that wasn’t clear enough, Jay-Z was available at the NBA 2k13 release party at his club 40/40 to answer questions. A party the pop star may have skipped due to the rumors. (see photo to the right).
When asked if Beyonce was due in nine months he answered, “Absolutely not.”
For further clarity Jay added, “No. Not in one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight or nine months.”
No fret for those who care, baby Blue Ivy will have a sibling sometime in the near future and this is from Beyonce herself, “I definitely want to have [more children]! I don’t know how many. God knows I don’t know yet.”
