The latest news comes to us from Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly’s official Twitter page, where the co-directors mentioned that the script is “almost done,” and also maintaining that title of Dumb and Dumber To.
The Farrelly brothers took to their Twitter feed to provide an update on the highly anticipated sequel. “You also might be interested to know that we are almost done with the Dumb and Dumber To (sic) script,” they tweeted. “I think you’re going to like it.”
In the past, the duo emphasized that there sequel is completely separated from the prequel in 2003, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, which they weren’t involved with. The original Dumb and Dumber is a 1994 buddy comedy film, which starred Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. It was written and directed by the Farrelly brothers, and the film followed the cross-country trek of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, two sincere but incredibly dumb friends.
Dumb and Dumber To is slated to start shooting in the spring of 2013.
