Bobbi Kristina, the only daughter of the legendary Whitney Houston, will soon have her life on display for the docu-series “The Houstons: On Our Own.”
Earlier this year there were reports of the Houston daughter running off set to get away from people and cameras, but her willingness to be on camera for the Houston family reality series may be a sign of her finally coping with her mother’s passing.
The reality show, which will follow the Houston family as they adapt to life without the iconic entertainer, is set to premier on October 17th.
The show will be following the lives of Whitney’s sister-in-law and manager Pat Houston, Pat’s daughter Rayah, Whitney’s brother Gary, Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston, and of course her only daughter Bobbi.
According to Lifetime, “Pat Houston, Whitney’s sister-in-law, manager, and most trusted confidant, manages the business and estate of the beloved singer and her most prized possession, her daughter Bobbi Kristina.”
The world will be watching as the Houston family faces “their greatest challenge, supporting and guiding Bobbi Kristina as she faces the world alone, without the one person she relied on the most, her Mother.”
Fortunately, Bobbi won’t be completely alone. Along with her family, Bobbi has her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, to join her on the reality show.
In fact, camera crews for the show followed the siblings turned partners as they went snorkeling in Hawaii.
The daughter of the iconic “I Will Always Love You” singer had no problem showing off her body as she stripped down to a ruffle covered blue bikini before putting on a life jacket.
A day out on the beach may have been just what Houston’s daughter needed as she took to Twitter saying, “The trip was great! So beautiful, cleansing … spiritual. Mom I feel you all over!! IloveuALWAYS!”
In addition to tweeting about the trip, she made sure she tweeted about her boyfriend that joined her along the way.
“@nickdgordon Ureadyhoney!? Wouldn’t want2experience Hawaii withany1BUT this man!(: lesdoitjoint! #WeLoveumom. 4everwithus Xxo,” the 19-year-old tweeted about her former brother.
Bobbi and Nick were once considered relatives after Whitney Houston took Nick in as her son for over 10 years. He was widely accepted as Houston’s unofficially adopted son, which made the idea of him dating Bobbi hard for most people to swallow.
Bobbi hasn’t let that come in the way of her relationship, as she continues to stay by Nick’s side enough to spark engagement rumors not once but twice.
If an engagement is indeed in the couple’s future, they’ll certainly be able to afford the wedding of their dreams in about ten more years.
Reports have indicated that by the time the only Houston daughter turns 30, she will have inherited everything that once belonged to her beloved, legendary mother.
