Official Domestic 'Argo' Poster Unveiled

While the film Argo has had the movie community buzzing in anticipation for the past few months, it had yet to release an official movie poster – until today that is.

In a recent article by ropeofsilicon.com, it has been revealed that the official domestic Argo poster is finally available, bringing excitement and even more anticipation to the project.

Argo revolves around the covert operation to rescue six American citizens in the midst of the Iran hostage crisis in 1979. Ben Affleck is slated to direct and star in the picture alongside such names as Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Byran Cranston just to name a few. The trailer has critics screaming Oscar! Oscar! already, even though the film has only shown at the Toronto Film Festival.

You almost feel bad for Affleck considering the amount of expectation being put on the upcoming Argo. You also can’t say he’s undeserved when being the mastermind behind The Town and Gone Baby Gone. When you consider he’s half the mastermind behind Good Will Hunting, it’s almost scary to imagine what heights Affleck will eventually climb to. Here’s to hoping Argo is just the first of many successful plateaus.
