Production has begun shooting for Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World. Due to the unruly behavior of some photographers in the UK, we have some awesome set photos below to share.
In the photos, it’s clear that director Alan Taylor included an epic battle scene. Chris Hemsmorth (Thor) recently revealed that the film is going to trade the science fiction element for a more viking influenced theme. Hence, upon first sight, this scene looks like something out of Braveheart.
In the flicks, Jaimie Alexander was the only hero spotted charging into battle on horseback wielding a giant sword. There was no sighting of Chris Hemsworth suited up as Thor in the photos though. Also absent from this day of shooting were Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Christopher Eccleston, all of who have major roles in the film.
Thor: The Dark World will miss next summer’s blockbuster season, instead it will hit theaters November 8, 2013.
