Apparently, Relativity Media and Bandito Brothers are aiming to adapt a TV series from the film Act of Valor. According to reports, the companies are looking to shop the show to both broadcast and cable networks.
Act of Valor, is the Navy Seal action film from directors Mike McCoy and Scott Waugh. The film actual used U.S. Navy SEALs instead of actors to portray the frictional drama of real military missions. The critics slammed the movie but it still achieve moderate results grossing more than $70 million worldwide. That’s not bad for a film that didn’t have any stars and also had to keep the names of its cast members under wraps.
When talking about the film CEO Tom Forman said: “I was blown away by the realism and authenticity of ‘Act of Valor.’ We’re thrilled to work with the Bandito Brothers to make something more visceral than any other show on television.”
Act of Valor will be Relativity Media’s second TV series to be adapted from a film.
