A trailer for Barry Levinson’s horror film The Bay has arrived online. The found footage movie centers on a small Chesapeake Bay town where a strange biological disaster has emerged from the waters. The trailer comes off like a cross between Paranormal Activity and Contagion.
Here is the official synopsis of The Bay movie:
Levinson’s move to the found footage genre is strikingly unexpected, but the award winning director’s touch on the horror movie actually looks promising. In the trailer we don’t see the fake jump scares and illusive haunted spirits we’ve come to know in the conventional found footage films. The evil entity that appears to be wreaking havoc in the town seems very real and tangible.
